Supporting the Cairngorm Reindeers

At PNP Events, charity and community support are an important part of who we are. Through our PNP Events charity initiatives, we are proud to support meaningful causes that align with our values including the incredible Cairngorm Reindeer Herd in Scotland.

Thanks to the generosity of our guests, even the smallest contribution has helped make a real difference.

During our recent event season, guests had the option to purchase biodegradable carrier bags from our on-site gift shops. From every small bag purchased, 5p was donated directly to support the Cairngorm Reindeer Herd.

It may seem like a small amount, but collectively those 5p contributions quickly added up.

We are delighted to share that, with the help of our visitors, PNP Events charity fundraising raised £143 for the Cairngorm Reindeer Herd.

This support goes towards the care, welfare and long-term sustainability of Britain’s only free-ranging herd of reindeer.

The Cairngorm Reindeer Herd, based in the Cairngorm Mountains in Scotland, is the only free-ranging herd of reindeer in the UK.

Established in 1952, the herd lives within the Cairngorms National Park and is carefully managed to ensure both animal welfare and environmental balance. Unlike farmed reindeer, these animals roam freely across the mountains and are adapted to the harsh Highland climate.

The herd is:

• Carefully monitored year-round by dedicated herders

• Managed to preserve the natural landscape

• An important part of the Cairngorms’ cultural heritage

• A popular educational and visitor attraction in Scotland

The team behind the herd works tirelessly to ensure the reindeer remain healthy, protected and able to thrive in their natural environment.

Supporting them means supporting conservation, education and responsible wildlife management in the Scottish Highlands.

The Cairngorm Reindeer Herd is more than a visitor attraction it represents a unique and historic conservation success story in Scotland.

By supporting the herd, PNP Events charity initiatives contribute towards:

• Ongoing reindeer care and welfare

• Veterinary support

• Habitat management within the Cairngorms

• Educational outreach and visitor engagement

The herd plays an important role in Scottish wildlife heritage and provides thousands of visitors each year with the opportunity to learn about reindeer in a natural mountain environment.
